Rats

Rats will normally be found under kitchen units, in basements, under garden sheds, under decking, behind bath panels and in roof voids to name just a few places. They are considered omnivorous and eat on average one tenth of their body weight each day. Rats must drink water daily unless the food source is extremely moist. They explore locations quite freely but they do have a fear of new objects, this is known as neophobia and this should be taken into account when baits are checked.

How do we control rats?

Our technician will carry out a thorough inspection of your premises prior to any treatment and assess the level and extent of the infestation. Once this has been established he will then be able to carry out treatment to the appropriate areas. All our treatments are completely safe around children and animals. The bait is placed in plastic tamper resistant bait boxes where necessary. For rats we usually carry out two treatment visits. The usual follow-up time after the initial baiting programme has been established is 7-10 days.
The second visit will let us know how bad the infestation was and where you have had evidence of rats it will also tell us if the premises are clear. The technician will re-bait as necessary or proof all holes if the treatment is complete. Once the treatments have been carried out, our technician will fill out an online inspection report and discuss ways of preventing re-infestation.

Our rat treatment comes with a three month guarantee.
